About Elliot Walker
Elliot Walker is a British furnace glass artist and sculptor whose highly skilled work combines technical virtuosity with a distinctive contemporary approach to sculptural glass.
His route into glass began with stained glass before expanding into kiln casting, fusing and hot glass. Following postgraduate study, he worked for many years within the British glass industry while simultaneously developing his own artistic practice — experience that gave him first-hand understanding of both the creative and commercial realities of becoming a professional maker.
Elliot became internationally known after winning the second series of Netflix's Blown Away. Rather than allowing that success to define his practice, he has used the opportunities it created to continue developing highly resolved, ambitious work while maintaining a strong emphasis on craftsmanship, quality and artistic independence.
Together with his partner and fellow glass artist Bethany Wood, Elliot has continued to develop his studio practice within Britain's historic glassmaking community.
