This E-course channel is a fun class designed for beginners to intermediates in sculpting off-mandrel in soft and hard glass.
 
Unlike the usual Julie classes this class will cover getting all the smaller techniques right. In this class we aim to hone your skills in a fun and easy manner by teaching you myriad techniques that you can apply to your own personal projects later down the line. Mostly we will be looking at off-mandrel techniques but we will also cover some form based pendant techniques.
 
This class includes 26 demos which should take ten weeks to complete if you include your practicing time. These tutorials show you how to make the mushroom in soft and hard glass, Italian and African masks in boro, blowing shards plus shells and bloblets (goblets) in soft glass, intro to marbles soft glass, intro to fuming soft glass hearts, boro filigree heart, Zanfirico heart with wings, boro Jellyfish and soft glass infinity marble, dichroic zanfirico marble, infinity marble and the icing on the cake a borosilicate sculptural bird with tripod stand demonstrated by American maestro Shane Fero.
 
Class includes two complimentary 30 minute one on one zoom consultation with ZGS founder Dr Julie Anne Denton to help you with the tricky bits, whilst receiving personal help and encouragement with the projects. It is advisable to use this consultation as our participants find the them invaluable.
 
Visual technical handouts are also provided which help you remember the steps for all the demonstrations at a glance. By the end of this course you will feel like an entirely new world of sculpting off-mandrel through flameworked glass has opened up to you. Please remember, expect breakages and tears. What we are creating is tricky and takes A LOT of practice, logic, patience, and an inquiring mind.
 
This E-course is a stand-alone course which is complimented by Guido Adam 1: Wearable art and Guido Adam 2: Chaos marble kingdom e_course channels. Our Julie 1-2: SMGS winter E-course will push your skill level and give you confidence in your own abilities, and empower you to own your creativity.
