About our Talismans

Throughout history the female form has taken on a mystical quality both for her sensuality and her ability to create life. Effigies have been forged of woman as mother figure for literally thousands of years.

The Venus of Willendorf on whom our Venus was originally based was found in Germany and she is believed to be between 35,000 and 40,000 years old. Our Torsos are based on the Grecian Venus de Milo created in 100 BC. It is commonly thought she represents Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty. The Primitive figures are loosely inspired by three starting points - Cycladic idols created in 3’000BC from Greek prehistory, primitive carvings of African figures in wood, and finally they draw inspiration from the fabulous elongated bronze figures by Swiss sculptor Giacometti.

Atelier #315 figurative talismans tend to be very popular among freethinkers, men and mothers. We create these talismans to help focus a woman's desire to create new life.
